How to Create Your UnitedHealthcare Account

Before you begin, locate your UnitedHealthcare member ID card. Your Member ID number is printed on the front of the card and is required to complete registration.

Open your preferred web browser and navigate to activate.uhc.com. Make sure you are on the official UnitedHealthcare site — look for the padlock icon in your browser’s address bar confirming a secure connection.

Click 'Register' or 'Create Account'

On the homepage, locate and click the Register or Create Account button. This will take you to the new member registration page where you can begin setting up your online profile.

Enter Your Member ID

Create a Username and Strong Password

Verify Your Email Address

Enter a valid email address that you have regular access to. UnitedHealthcare will send a verification email to this address. Open the email and click the confirmation link to verify your address and activate your account registration.

Complete Security Questions or Two-Factor Setup
